We review SAMBA GOALS

Here at Soccer Star Coaching we have been using Samba Football Goals since we started 7 years ago.

There are many reasons why we use Samba Goals – none more so than how easy they are to set up. Each goal takes our coaches no longer than 4 minutes to set up, this is very important to us as sometimes we can have 10 or more goals to set up.

We have found the goal posts are very durable and last a long time even when used with a size 5 match ball kicked at full power by an adult the goals withstand the impact time after time.

In the past we have used 2 or 3 different makes, types and models of goals and we find that the Samba Goal Posts are by far the best on the market, from the design to the safety aspect. All of the coaches at Soccer Star Coaching would have no hesitation in recommending the Samba range of portable goalposts.

Samba Football Goals are available from ‘The Soccer Store‘ http://www.thesoccerstore.co.uk

Disney contact us in search of a TV star

Disney have contacted us  in search of kids to appear on their TV show ‘Goalmouth’ on their Disney XD channel. Disney are looking into producing a 3rd series of the show at the end of the year.

They have asked us to look for 8-10 year olds to potentially take part in the programme from our soccer courses/camps that fit the following criteria?

  • Kids with an impressive collection of Football memorabilia. This could be anything from a large sticker collection to signed shirts. We have the idea that one of our presenters could meet these kids and compare collections.

If you feel that you fit this criteria please contact us and we can then get in touch with Disney for you, who knows this could be the start of a celebrity career for someone!!!

Darren Carter to attend Nottingham session

Birmingham City’s penalty hero, Darren Carter, will be attending our session at Ellis Guilford School in Nottingham. Darren will be helping the coaches to run the penalty shoot out session on Friday 18th May 2012, which is fitting as Darren scored a penalty that they say was worth £90m in the Championship Play Off Final in 2002.
At 17 years of age, Darren placed the ball on the Millennium Stadium penalty spot, took his steps back and placed it into the corner of the goal taking his boyhood team, Birmigham City, into the Premier League for the first time in their history!!

Darren has played in the Premier League for both Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion. He has also represented England U20 at the 2003 FIFA World Youth Championship.

You can see how the events on that day went along with other goals of Darren’s in the video below:
