Football Coaching for Children in Oldbury

We are pleased to offer weekly football coaching sessions in Oldbury, providing a fun, safe, and supportive environment for your child to learn and enjoy football. We are now welcoming new players for this term.

Our sessions are suitable for boys and girls of all abilities, from Reception to Year 6. Whether your child is trying football for the first time or already has experience, our coaching is designed to help every child feel included, supported, and confident.

Session times are organised by school year to ensure children train with others of a similar age (please see the timetable above).

Sessions take place every Tuesday and runs in line with school terms, making it easy for parents to plan around the school year.

How Our Football Lessons Work

Each term runs for approximately 12 weeks.

With over 20 years of experience working with children, our coaches place a strong emphasis on individual development, enjoyment, and confidence.

Our sessions are delivered in a positive, well-structured, and pressure-free environment, helping your child to:

• Build confidence both on and off the pitch

• Develop football skills at their own pace

• Make new friends in a supportive setting

• Stay active and healthy

Parents can feel confident knowing their child is learning in a safe, encouraging, and professionally run programme, where enjoyment and personal development always come first.

Each child is provided with their own football during individual skill practices.

Every week focuses on a different aspect of the game, including dribbling, passing, shooting, and overall game understanding. Alongside skill development, we place a strong emphasis on teamwork and game play, with small-sided matches included in every session across all groups.

For Groups 1 and 2, children also take part in their own mini league each week, adding excitement and motivation. League tables are updated regularly and can be viewed by parents and children via on our official WhatsApp channel.

All sessions are fully supervised by F.A. qualified coaches who work with children on a daily basis. Their experience and child-centred approach help bring out the best in every player, both in terms of ability and confidence.

To finish each term, we host a presentation event in the final week, which parents and family members are warmly invited to attend.

Our taster sessions are for new players who would like to come along and experience our weekly football lessons. It’s a great opportunity for your child to see how much they enjoy the sessions before committing. If they love it, you’ll be able to sign up for the remaining sessions afterwards.
