Jersey Summer Football Camp

We’re excited to announce our very first Summer Football Camp in Jersey, bringing our much-loved football camps to the island for the first time!

With a proven 20-year track record of delivering successful children’s football camps, we’re proud to now extend our experience to Jersey families. We’ve been running camps across the UK for over 20 years, in the Isle of Man for the past 10 years, and most recently delivering highly successful football camps in Ireland — all with fantastic feedback from parents and children alike.

Our Jersey Summer Football Camp runs over 5 fun-packed days from 10:00am to 3:00pm, offering children a full week of football coaching, games, challenges, and exciting activities in a safe, friendly, and energetic environment — perfect for the school summer holidays.

⚽ A Football Camp for Every Child

The camp is open to boys and girls of all abilities, from complete beginners to more confident players. Children are grouped by age and ability, ensuring sessions are enjoyable, supportive, and tailored to each child’s level.

Each day is professionally structured and fully supervised by our team of F.A. qualified, DBS-checked coaches, who work with children on a daily basis. Our sessions focus on:

• Developing core football skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, and teamwork

• Building confidence through fun drills and small-sided games

• Encouraging participation, effort, and enjoyment

One of the highlights of our camps — and a huge favourite with the children — is our range of football inflatables. Campers will get the chance to:

• Test their shot speed

• Take on soccer darts

• Improve accuracy and technique in an exciting, interactive way

Whether your child is attending their first football camp in Jersey or already loves the game, our camp offers the perfect balance of learning, fun, and excitement.

Our aim is simple:

Children will have a blast testing their shot speed, playing soccer darts, and putting their aim to the test on our three amazing football inflatables!

Our players love the variety of activities at our soccer camps, with something new every day to keep them engaged, challenged, and entertained.

The inflatables are just one of the many features that make our camps truly special, offering a fun, dynamic experience that you won’t find anywhere else!

To ensure every child is comfortable, safe, and ready to enjoy their day at our outdoor football camps, please see the guidelines below.

What to Wear

Children should wear comfortable sports clothing suitable for outdoor activities and changeable weather conditions. Suitable options include:

•A football kit

•Tracksuit

•Shorts and t-shirt

As this is an outdoor camp, children may wear football boots or trainers/runners suitable for outdoor surfaces.

If your child chooses to wear football boots, they must also bring trainers/runners with them, as footwear may need to be changed during the day.

Shin pads are recommended for added protection.

What to Bring

Please ensure your child brings:

•A packed lunch

•Plenty of drinks to stay hydrated throughout the day

•A small bag to keep personal belongings together

Weather & Clothing Guidance

As our camps take place across the UK, Isle of Man, Jersey, and Ireland, the weather can be unpredictable and may change throughout the day. We strongly recommend packing clothing suitable for all weather types, just in case. This may include:

•A lightweight rain jacket or waterproof coat

•A warm layer such as a hoodie, jumper, joggers

•Spare clothing

•A sun hat and sun cream during warmer weather

Additional Recommendations

•We recommend packing spare clothing, just in case

•Clearly label all belongings with your child’s name

•Children do not need to bring footballs or equipment — all coaching equipment is provided

Following these guidelines will help ensure your child has a safe, comfortable, and fun-filled outdoor football camp experience, whatever the weather.

Your child can look forward to an action-packed, fun-filled week, led by our friendly, experienced coaches in a positive and supportive environment.

Each day is packed with exciting football-themed activities and games, designed to keep children active, smiling, and engaged. Throughout the week, children will also have the chance to win extra medals and trophies by taking part in a range of fun competitions, including:

Alongside football skills, we focus on confidence, teamwork  and enjoyment, helping children to challenge themselves while having fun.

Football is also a fantastic way for children to make new friends, build social skills, and create lasting memories — all while staying active and entertained throughout the week.

Lunch will take place from 12:00pm to 1:00pm, giving children a well-earned break to relax, refuel and socialise with their group.

All children are required to bring a packed lunch, along with plenty of drinks to stay hydrated throughout the day. As the camp involves plenty of physical activity, we strongly recommend packing healthy, foods and enough fluids to last the full day.

Please note that no food or drinks will be provided on the day, so it is important that each child comes prepared. Our coaches will fully supervise children during lunch and break times to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Who are Soccer Star Coaching?

Soccer Star Coaching is a family run business formed by Justin Tyrrell back in 2006. He now runs the business with his wife Sinead, while juggling family life in bringing up 3 young children.

The majority of our coaching staff are players that Justin has coached over the last 20 years. The coaches now pass on the knowledge and care that they have gained as players on our weekly sessions and holidays camps.

How long have SSC been running camps?

We have been running kids football camps for 20 years. Our first camp took place in 2006 and we have been providing fun camp ever since.

Who is the camp for?

Boys & Girls of ALL ABILITIES aged between school years Reception and Year 10.

What’s involved?

The unique practice techniques that we use are specifically designed to work with children of ALL ABILITIES, ranging from the complete beginner to the more advanced player.

The camp is tightly structured with the children fully supervised at all times. This means that parents can go to work or have a relaxing day, as the camp is run by our professional qualified F.A. coaches. All coaches are DBS checked and currently work with children on a daily basis, enabling players to learn essential football techniques, together with a “fun” element.

What can the kids expect?

Lots of fun! All aspects of the game are covered including; dribbling, passing, shooting and more. Each child will be provided with a football during skill sessions. Kids will play matches & fun games every day.

What should children wear?

The camp is held outdoors on football pitches, so children may wear:

• SUITABLE OUTDOOR CLOTHING

Please dress according to the weather each day and bring a change of clothes for alternate weather in case the forecast changes.

• Trainers or football boots

(If your child wears football boots to the camp, please make sure they also bring trainers)

• Shin pads – if possible.

What time is lunch?

Lunch will be from 12:00pm – 1:00pm each day.

There are many opportunities to win extra trophies and medals in competitions such as WORLD CUP tournament, penalty shoot out, American Shoot-out, Player Of The Camp and more!!

On our week long camps, every child can test their shot speed in our INFLATABLE SPEED GOAL!

On the final day of the camp, a presentation ceremony will be held.

Parents/Carers and other family members are more than welcome to attend the presentation.

What will my child need to bring?

As mentioned above, a change of clothes is always a good idea, in case we get caught by a heavy shower.

What happens if it rains?

The camp will still go ahead as planned! We’re fortunate to have access to indoor facilities, although not all children can be in the sports hall at once. If the rain is heavy, groups will rotate indoors to enjoy football or take part in quizzes and fun games led by the coaches. In the event that the sports hall is unavailable, we’ll make use of other indoor spaces to ensure the children are kept safe, active, and entertained until it’s dry enough to return outside.
